Custom Bookmark

This is a project on how to make a custom bookmark on a vinyl cutter.

Learning Objective

For students to explore introductory 2D design concepts such as shapes, paths, vector images, and working with dimensions. Students will be given some parameters and/or templates guide their designs. Bookmarks can be cut from a single layer or multiple layers.

1-2 hours class time + fabrication time

Materials

For each student

• Laptop with internet access (1x)
• Computer mouse (1x)

For each class

• Vinyl cutter
• Construction paper with varying colors and patterns
• Ribbon, tassels, or other fabric
• Glue sticks
